Four Seasons A/C Accumulator Tube P/N:34207
Keep your air conditioning dry and clean with the Four Seasons A/C Accumulator Tube 34208 — the filter/drier that removes moisture and contaminants from the refrigerant circuit. It's a direct-fit replacement for a long list of GM applications, including the 1977-1981 Buick Century, 1977-1983 Buick Electra, Estate Wagon and LeSabre, 1977-1981 Cadillac DeVille and Fleetwood, 1977-1983 Chevrolet Caprice and Impala, 1977-1984 Oldsmobile 98, and 1976-1981 Pontiac Bonneville and Catalina; see the Buyer's Guide tab for the full 33-application list.
Four Seasons notes the accumulator/filter drier should be replaced any time the system is serviced and to help validate the compressor warranty. If your A/C has been opened or contaminated, replacing this component is designed to protect the refreshed system.
What does this accumulator tube do?
It acts as a filter/drier, using a desiccant bag to remove moisture and contaminants from the A/C refrigerant that flushing the system cannot clear.
Does it come with gaskets and O-rings?
Yes. Four Seasons includes the necessary gaskets, O-rings and seal to make installation easier.
Should I replace it when servicing the A/C?
Four Seasons advises replacing the accumulator/filter drier any time the system is opened or serviced, and notes it helps validate the compressor warranty.
Will this fit my vehicle?
It's cataloged for many 1976-1984 GM cars including Buick, Cadillac, Chevrolet, Oldsmobile and Pontiac models. Check the Buyer's Guide tab for the full 33-application list.
Why can the desiccant become ineffective?
A leaking or open system lets the desiccant bag saturate with moisture within a few hours, which is why a new accumulator/filter drier is recommended during service.
