Airtex assembles this pump from all-new, original equipment-quality components for proper fit and long-life performance. The design is application-specific for correct fit and operation.
- Bearings and seals: heavy-duty unitized bearings paired with unitized seals.
- Housing and hub: precision machined aluminum housing with a pressed-on hub, a 51.90 mm hub height and 3 mounting holes.
- Impeller: composite impeller with 7 vanes and reverse rotation, set to optimal impeller clearance.
- Testing: every new Airtex water pump is 100% factory tested, validated for fit, form, and function, and built to Original Equipment specifications or better.
This is a gear-drive pump, and the pulley comes with it. The fan clutch and back housing are not included. One pump is used per application. Country of origin: Mexico.
Signs a water pump may need replacing include coolant seeping from the pump, a rising temperature gauge, or a whining or grinding noise from the pump area. Overheating can have other causes, so diagnose the problem before replacing the pump.
