Quiet powertrain vibration and keep your transmission properly located with the Anchor Automatic Transmission Mount 2854, a front-left mount that drops in as a direct-fit replacement for the 1993-2002 Mercury Villager (see the Buyer's Guide tab for engine-level fitment). It helps support and locate the transmission while isolating vibration so it isn't transmitted into the chassis.

  • Position: Front left automatic transmission mount.
  • Purpose-built rubber: Uses natural and Styrene Butadiene rubber for wear resistance and stable performance as it ages.
  • Application-tuned hardness: Rubber is manufactured to a specific Durometer (hardness) based on the vehicle's requirements.
  • Strong bond: Chemlock® bonding agent is used for a superior rubber-to-metal bond, and mounts are engineered and designed to OE standards using a CAD/CAM process.

Signs a transmission mount may need replacing include vibration at idle, and clunking on acceleration, deceleration, or shifting as the powertrain shifts on a cracked or separated mount. Diagnose the cause before replacing. Any included fasteners are hardened steel with heat-treated Grade 5 bolts; consult the vehicle service information for the correct fasteners and whether they may be reused.
