Beck/Arnley 158-1011 ignition knock (detonation) sensor for the 1999-2001 Porsche 911 H6 3.4L, the 2001-2012 911 H6 3.6L, the 2005-2019 911 H6 3.8L, the 2011 911 H6 4.0L, the 2012-2016 911 H6 3.4L, the 2016-2017 911 H6 4.0L, the 2017-2021 911 H6 3.0L, the 2019 911 H6 4.0L and other vehicles detects engine knock vibrations and reports them to the engine computer. The computer can use that signal to adjust ignition timing.
