Bring quiet, smooth stops to the front axle with this BOSCH brake pad set, the Bosch QuietCast Disc Brake Pad Set BC1158. It installs as a direct-fit front replacement for many vehicles, among them the 2006-2010 Ford Explorer, 2010-2012 Ford Taurus and 2007-2010 Ford Explorer Sport Trac — see the Buyer's Guide tab for the full list.

  • Copper-free friction formula: engineered and tested by Bosch and compliant with 2025 Copper Free legislation.
  • OE-style rubber core shim: pre-attached multilayer shim bonds rubber to steel for lower noise, added strength, and corrosion resistance.
  • PTFE & rubber-coated hardware: included to reduce vibration and noise and help keep the pad from binding in the caliper.
  • Powder-coated backing plate: resists rust and corrosion. A protective transfer layer is designed to help extend pad and rotor life.

Synthetic lubricant is included in all applications to reduce resistance on the sliding contact points. If worn front BOSCH quietcast brake pads are the cause of squealing or grinding, this set replaces them. For even, balanced braking, replace the pads on both sides of the axle together as a matched set.
