Keep brake fluid flowing from the chassis lines to the wheel with this Dorman brake hydraulic hose, part number H380421 from the Dorman - First Stop line. It fits many vehicles, among them the 1995-2000 Ford Contour, 1995-2000 Ford Mystique and 1999-2002 Mercury Cougar, and is cataloged for the front left and front right positions. See the "Vehicles it fits" section for the full list and engine details.
A brake hydraulic hose is the flexible link between the rigid brake lines and the brake at the wheel. It carries fluid under pressure while flexing with steering and suspension travel. Dorman designed this direct-fit replacement to perform like the original hose on the listed applications as part of a complete brake repair.
- Ideal replacement: precision-engineered to perform like the factory brake hose on the vehicles it is cataloged for.
- Position-specific: built to precise measurements for an exact fit and easy installation.
- Quality assured: its materials are tested to demanding government-regulated safety and durability standards.
- Durable design: made with EPDM rubber and specially coated, corrosion-resistant fittings.
Signs a brake hose may need replacing include cracked or bulging rubber, fluid seepage at the fittings, or a soft, spongy brake pedal. Inspect the brake system to confirm the cause before replacing parts.
