Dorman describes this part as an Independent Wheel End Coupler (Vacuum Delete Kit). On certain Ford and Lincoln vacuum-activated hub actuators, the internal diaphragm is highly prone to failure. This Dorman IWE delete takes the place of that vacuum-dependent design and removes the problematic original functions, with the aim of greater reliability.
