A light that stays dark when you brake, a cracked or clouded lens, or a housing that looks damaged can mean the unit needs replacing. Before you buy, look over the lens, housing and connector with the engine off, since a dark light can also have a different cause. A single light sits at the center of the car, so one is all you need.
