Dorman - OE Solutions Differential Ring and Pinion P/N:697-139
Dorman 697-300 differential ring and pinion for the 1999-2013 Chevrolet Silverado 1500 and other vehicles sends driveshaft power to the axle through a meshed ring gear and pinion gear.
Grinding or whining from the axle can be a sign of worn ring and pinion gears. Worn axle bearings, a driveshaft U-joint or uneven tires can make similar noises, so find the cause before you buy a gear set. The fitment calls for one set at each position, front or rear.
This ring and pinion fits the 1999-2013 GMC Sierra 1500 and the 1995-2013 Chevrolet Tahoe as well as the 1999-2013 Chevrolet Silverado 1500. It directly replaces the original equipment on specific vehicle years, makes and models.
