Mounted to the bottom of the engine block, the oil pan holds the oil reservoir (sump) that the oil pump draws from and forms the lower seal of the lubrication system. It installs as a direct-fit replacement for the listed applications, including the 1995-2000 Ford Contour, 2001-2008 Ford Escape, 1995-2000 Ford Mystique, 2003-2005 Mazda 6, 2000-2006 Mazda MPV, 2001-2006 and 2008 Mazda Tribute, 1999-2002 Mercury Cougar, 2005-2008 Mercury Mariner, and 1995-2000 Mercury Mystique.
