Description

Keep your steering rack firmly located with the Dorman rack and pinion bushing 905-402, a direct replacement for the 1996-2004 Nissan Pathfinder and 1997-2003 Infiniti QX4. Dorman precision-engineers and rigorously tests this steering rack and pinion bushing as a dependable replacement for the original equipment on these vehicles.

Direct replacement: Designed to fit and perform like the original equipment on the listed applications.
Reliable fit: Precision-engineered to match the design and dimensions of the original components.
Durable construction: Built to strict standards from sturdy, safe materials.
Rigorously tested: Put through thorough quality-control measures.

A rack and pinion bushing helps hold the steering rack in position and dampens the vibration passed between the rack and its mounting points. Signs this part may need replacing include a clunk or knock when turning the wheel, extra play or a vague feel in the steering, and visible cracking or deterioration of the bushing. Those symptoms can have other causes, so inspect the steering system first. If a worn bushing is the cause, 905-402 replaces it. Follow the vehicle service information for the installation procedure and fastener torque.

See the "Vehicles it fits" section for engine and trim details.
