Dorman - OE Solutions Steering Shaft P/N:425-272
Dorman 425-232 steering shaft for the 2003-2006 Jeep Wrangler and other vehicles carries steering input from the column to the steering gear. The shaft has one universal joint, an internal spline at one end and an external profile at the other.
A worn steering shaft can show up as a clunk felt through the steering wheel, steering that feels loose, or a notchy, binding feel as you turn. Those signs alone don't prove the shaft is at fault, since a worn steering gear can feel much the same. If the shaft is the cause, this one replaces it.
Engineered to directly replace the original shaft, this is a steering shaft for the 2003-2006 Jeep TJ and the 2003-2006 Jeep Wrangler. Both take one, mounted in the intermediate position.
