The wireless ignition node (WIN) is an integrated electronic receiver that communicates through the powertrain control module (PCM) with onboard convenience and safety systems, including the keyless entry remote and starter. When the original WIN fails, the vehicle cannot be started with the keyless remote and the park/shift interlock cannot be disabled.
