Description

Tame engine torque roll and rocking with the Anchor Engine Torque Strut Mount 8698, the right, right upper strut mount that helps support and locate the powertrain while limiting fore-and-aft movement under acceleration and deceleration. It's a direct-fit replacement for the 1997-2001 Toyota Camry and 1999-2001 Toyota Solara (see the Buyer's Guide tab for engine-level details).

Controls torque roll: The torque strut is designed to limit engine rock and movement so the powertrain stays located during hard acceleration and shifting.
Engineered to OE standards: Developed using a CAD/CAM engineering process for consistent fit and quality.
Natural & Styrene Butadiene rubber: Resists wear and stays stable as it ages for long service life; rubber is built to a specific Durometer (hardness) based on the vehicle application.
Chemlock® bond: Chemlock® bonding agent provides a superior rubber-to-metal bond. Any included fasteners are hardened steel with heat-treated Grade 5 bolts.

Worn strut mounts often show up as vibration at idle, a clunk on acceleration or shifting, or cracked/separated rubber. If a failed torque strut mount is the cause, this replaces it.
