It's a direct-fit replacement for the listed applications, including the 1995-2000 Ford Contour, 1995-2000 Ford Mystique, 1995-2000 Mercury Mystique, 1999-2002 Mercury Cougar, 2001-2002 and 2004-2006 Ford Escape, 2001-2006 Mazda Tribute, and 2005-2007 Mercury Mariner (all engines).
