This flanged, vented, clockwise-rotation (CW) motor drives the blower wheel that pushes air through the HVAC system and out to the vents. It fits many vehicles, among them the 1988-1991 Chevrolet C1500, 1988-1991 Chevrolet K1500 and 1977-1985 Chevrolet Impala, as a direct-fit replacement for the listed applications. This motor is sold without the blower wheel. Transfer or replace the wheel as the vehicle service procedure directs.
Signs a blower motor may need replacing include weak or no airflow at every fan setting, squealing or grinding while the fan runs, and a fan that cuts in and out. A fuse, resistor or switch can cause similar symptoms, so diagnose the cause before you replace anything. If a failed motor is the cause, this unit replaces it.
