Mounted in the front heater box, the core passes hot coolant through its aluminum tubes while the blower pushes cabin air across the fins to transfer heat. If the original core is the cause, weak or no heat, a sweet coolant odor, fogged glass, or damp coolant on the passenger floor are signs it may need replacing. When a leaking or clogged core is the culprit, this unit restores the coolant-to-air heat path.
