Description

Route coolant cleanly with the GATES heater hose (P/N 12555), a ThermalPro Premium molded coolant hose that drops in as a direct-fit replacement for the listed applications on the 2012-2016 Tesla Motors Tesla S — see the Buyer's Guide tab for engine-level fitment. This is the pump-to-tunnel hose (left), factory-molded in an OEM-style shape to fit today's smaller, tighter engine compartments.

As a molded heater hose, it carries coolant, water, and air, and is also approved for marine applications; per Gates, do not use it for fuel or oil transfer.

Construction: EPDM tube, synthetic fiber knit reinforcement, and an EPDM cover.
Standards: Meets SAE 20R3 Type EC Class D-1 and D-2, and is engineered to resist electrochemical degradation — a leading cause of hose failure.
Temperature range: rated from -40°F to 275°F (-40°C to 135°C).
