Settle the back of your Nissan with the KYB Excel-G Shock Absorber (MPN 349075), a rear KYB shock absorber calibrated to help restore the ride control, stability, stopping, lane-change response, and handling your suspension was designed to deliver. It drops in as a direct-fit rear replacement for the 2007-2018 Nissan Altima and 2009-2014 Nissan Maxima — see the Buyer's Guide tab to confirm your engine.
Built on the very same KYB OE assembly lines using the same OE-quality components as KYB's global OEM products, the Excel-G is calibrated to restore original designed performance rather than change it — earning it the OEA (Original Equipment for the Aftermarket) classification and making it a preferred choice among professional technicians.
- Nitrogen gas-charged, twin-tube design: includes every quality component found in KYB's global OEM units.
- Triple lip fluid seal: reduces the chance of oil and gas leaking out.
- Vehicle-specific damping valves: hand assembled in-house to correctly manage tire contact, steering response, and body movement.
- Internal anti-rollover spring: may cause the extended length to appear shorter.
This gas shock absorber helps keep electronic safety systems performing as designed, since those systems depend on the suspension working as intended. If a worn rear shock is the cause of excess bounce or loose body control, replacing it with this unit restores the original damping.
