Description

Restore the front-end control and handling of your 1999-2002 SAAB 9-3 with the KYB Excel-G Suspension Strut Cartridge 366012. This nitrogen gas-charged, twin-tube cartridge is calibrated to bring back the vehicle's originally designed performance — ride control, stability, stopping, lane-change responsiveness and handling — rather than change it. It installs in the front position on the listed application; see the Buyer's Guide tab for engine-level details.

OE-quality build: The Excel-G is made on the same KYB OE assembly lines with the same OE-quality components, earning its OEA (Original Equipment for the Aftermarket) classification.
Triple-lip fluid seal: Helps reduce the chance of oil and gas leaking out.
Application-tuned damping: Vehicle-specific, hand-assembled damping valves manage tire contact, steering response and body movement.
Supports safety systems: Helps keep electronic safety systems performing as designed, since they depend on the suspension, brakes and tires working as the manufacturer intended.

To reduce the chance of noise and vibration, KYB recommends installing new strut mounts (part number SM5340), and protecting the struts with a KYB Strut Boot (part number SB101).
