Oil Pump for 1988-1994 Chevrolet C1500 & More - Melling M-55

Keep engine oil circulating at stock volume and pressure with the Melling oil pump M-55. It is a standard-replacement gear-type pump with a cast iron housing and cover. It fits many vehicles, among them the 1988-1994 Chevrolet C1500 4.3L / 5.0L / 5.7L, 1988-1994 Chevrolet K1500 4.3L / 5.0L / 5.7L and 1958-1985 Chevrolet Impala 3.8L / 4.3L / 4.4L / 4.6L / 5.0L / 5.3L / 5.7L / 6.6L / 6.7L. Specs: gear-type pump driven by a drive shaft; inlet and pickup tube size 0.500 in (13 mm); two 0.25 in (6 mm) mounting holes. The pump cover and gears are included. The pickup screen, drive shaft, intermediate shaft, gasket or seal, O-ring and bolts are not included. The listed applications use one pump.

As the engine oil pump, it draws oil from the pan through the pickup and pushes it through the engine's oil passages to lubricate bearings and other moving parts. Signs the pump may need replacing include low oil pressure readings, an oil pressure warning light or valvetrain noise. Diagnose the cause before replacing any parts.
