This front outer tie rod end links the steering linkage to the steering knuckle, so each turn of the wheel is carried out to the front wheel. It fits many vehicles, among them the 2000-2001 Dodge Ram 1500, 2000-2002 Ram 2500 and 2000-2002 Dodge Ram 2500, as a direct-fit replacement for the listed applications. Signs a tie rod end may need replacing include loose or wandering steering, free play in the steering wheel, a clunk when turning and uneven wear on the front tires. If a worn outer tie rod end is the cause, this part replaces it. A wheel alignment is recommended after installation.
