Frequently Asked Questions

It supports and locates one end of the steering center link, working opposite the pitman arm to help keep the steering linkage aligned for stable, controlled steering.

Does this idler arm come with mounting hardware?

Yes. It includes application-specific fasteners — a nylon lock nut, a slotted castle nut and a snap cotter pin — so you have the hardware needed for installation.

Is the idler arm greaseable?

Yes. It ships pre-greased and greaseable, with a 180-degree SAE grease fitting included so you can service it during routine maintenance.

What are the signs my idler arm may need replacing?
