It installs as a direct-fit replacement for the front strut mount on the 2007-2013 BMW X5 and 2008-2014 BMW X6 (see the Buyer's Guide tab for engine-level fitment), locating the top of the strut to the body while helping isolate road noise and vibration. Every new strut deserves a fresh mount, and Strut-Mate is designed to complement the ride-control characteristics of Monroe struts.
