MOOG Chassis Products Steering Pitman Arm P/N:K6528
Keep your steering tight and responsive with the MOOG Chassis Products Steering Pitman Arm K6220, a direct-fit replacement for the 1983-1995 Chevrolet G10, 1983-1995 Chevrolet G20, 1983-1996 Chevrolet G30, 1983-1995 GMC G1500, 1983-1995 GMC G2500, and 1983-1996 GMC G3500. The pitman arm bolts to the steering gear's sector shaft and transfers its motion to the steering linkage, turning the front wheels as you steer.
Loose or worn chassis parts can lead to premature tire wear, so signs this part may need replacing include loose or wandering steering and play in the linkage. If a worn pitman arm is the cause, installing the K6220 replaces it. See the Buyer's Guide tab for engine-specific application details.
What does the pitman arm do?
It attaches to the steering gear's sector shaft and transfers that motion to the steering linkage, turning the front wheels as you steer.
Which vehicles does the K6220 fit?
It's a direct-fit replacement for the 1983-1995 Chevrolet G10, G20, GMC G1500 and G2500, plus the 1983-1996 Chevrolet G30 and GMC G3500. See the Buyer's Guide tab for details.
What is it made of?
MOOG uses an engineered steel composition for a stronger component in this heavy-duty pitman arm.
What are signs my pitman arm may need replacing?
Loose, wandering steering and play in the linkage can indicate a worn chassis part. Diagnose the cause first, since these symptoms can come from other components.
What does the cover plate do?
The exclusive, patented cover plate protects against contaminants leaking into the bearing surface and allows tighter tolerances than traditional designs for a more durable part.
