MOOG Chassis Products Steering Tie Rod End P/N:ES801495
Tighten up loose, wandering steering with the MOOG ES3423 Front Left Outer Steering Tie Rod End. It drops in as a direct-fit replacement for the 1999-2004 Ford F-250 Super Duty, F-350 Super Duty, F-450 Super Duty and F-550 Super Duty, the 2000-2005 Ford Excursion, and the 1999-2003 Ford F-53 Motorhome Chassis (all engines). Designed for OE fit and function, it connects the steering linkage to the steering knuckle so driver input at the wheel translates into precise wheel movement.
The male stud uses a 1.375 in thread diameter at 16 threads per inch with a clockwise thread direction. Precision tolerances are intended for easy installation and steering alignment. If a worn tie rod end is the cause of loose steering, uneven tire wear, or a clunk when turning, this replaces it. Sold individually.
Interchange: also cataloged under the QuickSteer name. Manufacturer part number ES3423.
Where does the ES3423 mount?
It's the front left outer steering tie rod end for the listed applications, connecting the steering linkage to the steering knuckle.
Is the socket greaseable?
Yes. The greaseable socket lets fresh lubricant flush contaminated grease out of the joint, helping reduce corrosion and wear.
Which vehicles does it fit?
1999-2004 Ford F-250, F-350, F-450 and F-550 Super Duty, 2000-2005 Ford Excursion, and 1999-2003 Ford F-53 Motorhome Chassis (all engines). See the Buyer's Guide tab.
What are signs a tie rod end may need replacing?
Loose or wandering steering, uneven tire wear, or a clunk when turning can be signs. If a worn tie rod end is the cause, this part replaces it.
Do I need a wheel alignment after installing it?
An alignment is recommended after replacing a tie rod end to set the correct steering angles and protect tire wear.
