MOOG backs its ball joints with superior materials and rigorous testing. This front upper suspension ball joint uses a new and improved follower design, intended to extend product life and simplify installation.

• Problem Solver® gusher bearing: A metal-to-metal design provides strength and lets grease flow through the bearing surface to reduce friction.
• Greaseable socket: New lubricant can be added to flush out contaminants, which helps reduce corrosion and wear.
• Heat-treated ball studs: The studs are heat treated to match or exceed OE requirements, which helps inhibit premature failure and improve fatigue strength.
• Preload washer and cover plate: A Belleville preload washer helps keep the bearing package tight as the bearings wear. A patented pressed-in cover plate seals out debris and minimizes looseness to help reduce bearing wear.

Precision tolerances are designed for easy installation and steering alignment. Signs a ball joint may need replacing include clunking or knocking over bumps, loose or wandering steering, and uneven tire wear. Other components can cause these symptoms too, so inspect the suspension to confirm the cause before replacing, and have the alignment checked after installation.
