National Engine Crankshaft Seal P/N:710162
National Engine Crankshaft Seal P/N:710162
$30.99

Help keep engine oil sealed in at the front of the crankshaft with the National Crankshaft Seal 710162. It is a direct-fit replacement for many vehicles, among them the 2000-2005 Chevrolet Impala 3.8L, 2005-2009 Buick LaCrosse 3.8L and 1995-2002 Chevrolet Camaro 3.8L.

This front crankshaft seal sits where the crankshaft exits the front of the engine. The seal body stays stationary while its lip contacts the rotating crankshaft. It is designed to hold engine oil inside the engine at that opening.

  • Position: Front.
  • Engines covered: V6-3.0L, V6-3.3L, V6-3.8L and V8-5.0L applications from Buick, Chevrolet, Oldsmobile and Pontiac.
  • Quantity: The listed applications use one seal.

Signs this seal may need replacing include oil seeping from behind the crankshaft pulley, oil drips under the front of the engine, and oil residue on the belt and pulleys. Oil leaks at the front of an engine can come from more than one source, so confirm where the leak starts before replacing the seal.

Fitment also includes many other Buick, Chevrolet, Oldsmobile and Pontiac models. See the Buyer's Guide tab for the full list of years, models and engines.
