NGK developed the Ruthenium HX from its advanced OE technology as a high-ignitability plug. It pairs a patented ruthenium center electrode with patented, specialized DFE and PSPE tip designs. What electrode materials does this plug use?
It has a ruthenium center electrode tip over a copper core. The fine-wire platinum ground electrode tip sits on a nickel core, and the insulator is ceramic.
What are signs a spark plug may need replacing?
Misfires, a rough idle, hard starting or reduced fuel economy may indicate worn plugs, but other faults can cause these too. Diagnose the cause before replacing, and use the correct quantity for your engine.
