NGK Spark Plug P/N:YR5
NGK Spark Plug P/N:YR5
$6.99

Designed for dependable ignition in classic GM engines, this NGK spark plug is the V-Power YR5 (NGK stock number 7052). NGK says V-Power plugs offer reliable performance and better ignitability than standard nickel plugs. The YR5 fits many vehicles, among them the 1972-1974 Chevrolet Camaro [V8-5.7L] and 1975-1989 Chevrolet P20 [L6-4.8L]. Many more Chevrolet, Buick and GMC fitments are in the Buyer's Guide tab.

  • OE or equivalent design: NGK built it specifically for OE applications. A nickel center electrode tip with a V-groove pairs with a concave ground electrode. This design is meant to increase ignitability for quicker starts and a smoother idle.
  • Solid copper core: A 98% pure copper core provides heat dissipation and conductivity.
  • OE ceramic technology: A high-grade ceramic insulator gives strong dielectric performance.
  • Trivalent metal plating and cold-rolled threads: The plating resists corrosion and seizing, which makes installation and removal easier. The rolled threads are designed to help prevent cross-threading and damage to the cylinder head.
