The Automatic Transmission Speed sensor measures the rotational speed of the transmission shafts, monitoring input and output speed and relaying it to the engine control module or transmission control module by an analog or digital signal for proper shift points, speedometer operation and transmission diagnostics. This unit is cataloged for the input and output shaft speed positions.
