Soak up the trail and firm up the pavement with the Rancho RS7MT Suspension Shock Absorber RS77328, a rear-position monotube shock tuned for precise on-road and off-road handling. It drops in as a direct-fit replacement for the 2007-2017 Jeep Wrangler and the 2018 Jeep Wrangler JK — see the Buyer's Guide tab for engine-level fitment. Application-specific mounting installs right out of the box with no sleeves or extra hardware needed.

  • Deflective Disc Valving: digressive, linear or progressive tuning based on the application for handling and performance on- and off-road.
  • Strong and durable: 14mm hardened chrome piston rod resists scuffs and corrosion, with double-welded loops at stress areas, a double-strength closure and a hot-form reserve tube.
  • Temperature control: a large 2-in. monotube body filled with all-weather fluid runs cooler and is rated to withstand internal temperatures of -40 to 248°F; a full-floating dividing piston and high-pressure nitrogen gas help reduce aeration and shock fade.
  • Smooth and sealed: an internal rebound bumper and shouldered rubber bushings help reduce noise, vibration and harshness, while the integrated dirt wiper helps keep dirt, moisture and debris out of the oil.

Finished in black satin with the Rancho red logo and backed by Rancho's Limited Lifetime Warranty. For extra protection, add shock boot RS1952 or RS1961.

Frequently Asked Questions

What vehicles does this shock fit?

It's a direct-fit rear shock for the 2007-2017 Jeep Wrangler and the 2018 Jeep Wrangler JK. Check the Buyer's Guide tab to confirm engine-level fitment for your vehicle.

What position does the RS77328 mount in?

This is a rear-position shock absorber. Shocks are best replaced as a matched pair on the same axle for balanced, even ride control.

What type of shock is this?

It's an RS7MT monotube shock with a large 2-in. body and high-pressure nitrogen gas charge, designed to dissipate heat well for extreme off-road use and larger wheel and tire packages.

Does it include mounting hardware?

It uses application-specific mounting designed to install right out of the box with no sleeves or extra hardware needed. Consult the vehicle service information for the correct fasteners and whether they may be reused.

How does it handle temperature and fade?

The all-weather fluid is rated for internal temperatures of -40 to 248°F, and a full-floating dividing piston with nitrogen gas maintains pressure against the oil to help reduce aeration and shock fade.
