Dial in the ride your heavy-duty truck needs with the Rancho RS9000XL RS994381 Shock Absorber, a nine-position adjustable rear shock built for hardworking vehicles that tow, haul, or head off road. It is a direct-fit replacement for the rear of the 2011-2019 Chevrolet Silverado 2500 HD, 2011-2018 Chevrolet Silverado 3500 HD, 2011-2019 GMC Sierra 2500 HD, and 2011-2018 GMC Sierra 3500 HD.

Now in its fourth generation, the RS9000XL pairs an easy-to-adjust knob with integrated bottom mounts for added strength. The knob lets you tailor damping and firmness for on-road or off-road use.

    • Nine levels of adjustment: A nine-position knob allows customized damping control and firmness for on-road and off-road flexibility.
    • Reduces fade: Nitrogen gas pressurized to 45 or 60 PSI minimizes air-to-oil mixing to help reduce damping fade and foaming.
    • Handles temperature swings: An up to 2.38-in. tri-tube body (application specific) filled with all-weather fluid supports cooler operation and is designed to withstand internal temperatures of -40 to 248°F.
    • Smooth, protected performance: A polyurethane rebound bumper and bushings and a graphite-filled fluon-banded piston help absorb ride harshness. A low-friction, self-lubricating seal retains gas and oil, and a polyvinyl protective boot is paired with a dual component 2K paint finish that delivers chip resistance.

Signs a rear suspension shock absorber may need replacing include excessive bouncing after bumps, a harsh or unsettled ride, fluid leaking from the body, and uneven tire wear. Replacing rear shocks as a pair is recommended for balanced handling. Backed by Rancho's Limited Lifetime Warranty. See the "Vehicles it fits" section for engine details.
