As a complete strut and coil spring assembly, it combines the strut, an application-specific coil spring and an upper mounting plate in a single unit, so you don't need a spring compressor to install it. Rancho ride tests each assembly on- and off-road and engineers it to strict durability requirements.

Nitrogen gas pressurized to 60 PSI minimizes air-to-oil mixture, which helps reduce damping fade and foaming. A front strut may need replacing if you notice excessive bouncing, nose dive under braking, fluid leaking from the strut body, or a sagging stance.
