Spectra Premium A/C Condenser P/N:7-30084
Help keep cool air coming from the vents with the Spectra Premium ac condenser, part number 7-3008. It is a direct-fit replacement for many vehicles, among them the 2006-2009 Chevrolet Uplander, 2006-2009 Pontiac Montana and 2006-2007 Buick Terraza; see the Buyer's Guide tab for the full list.
The condenser is where the A/C system gets rid of heat. Hot, high-pressure refrigerant from the compressor passes through it and releases heat to the air moving across it. It then condenses into a liquid and continues through the rest of the system.
Signs a condenser may need replacing: warm or weak air from the vents, refrigerant leaking at the condenser, or bent, damaged or corroded fins. Other A/C faults can cause the same symptoms, so diagnose the system before replacing parts. Replacing the condenser opens the refrigerant system, so follow the vehicle service information for refrigerant recovery, evacuation and recharge. See the Buyer's Guide tab for engine details on each application.
What does an A/C condenser do?
It takes hot, high-pressure refrigerant from the compressor and releases that heat to the air passing through it. This turns the refrigerant into a liquid so the A/C system can keep cooling the cabin.
Which vehicles does Spectra Premium 7-3008 fit?
It fits many vehicles, among them the 2006-2009 Chevrolet Uplander, 2006-2009 Pontiac Montana and 2006-2007 Buick Terraza. See the Buyer's Guide tab for the full list and engine details.
What are signs my A/C condenser may need replacing?
Warm or weak vent air, refrigerant leaking at the condenser, or damaged or corroded fins may indicate a condenser problem. Other A/C faults cause similar symptoms, so diagnose the system first.
How is this condenser built and tested?
Spectra Premium reverse engineers it for proper fit and supplies it in the same construction style as the OEM unit. It also goes through specialty testing focused on leak-free performance and reduced movement and vibration.
Do I need to recharge the A/C after installing it?
Yes. Replacing a condenser opens the sealed refrigerant system. The refrigerant must be recovered, and the system must be evacuated and recharged according to the vehicle service information.
