This gas-charged lift support with dynamic speed control drops in as a direct-fit replacement for the 2015-2024 Ford Edge (see the Buyer's Guide tab for engine-level fitment). Measuring 25.98 inches, it uses Stabilus Lift-O-Mat technology — a longitudinal groove, or velocity manifold, pressed into the tube wall that lets gas flow around the piston with extension speed and damping engineered for this specific application. The groove gradually narrows toward the end of the stroke for a gentle, controlled stop with minimal impact.
