Raise the hood and hold it steady with the Stabilus Hood Lift Support 4B-815029, a gas-charged Lift-O-Mat strut with dynamic damping speed control. It installs as a direct-fit replacement for the 2011-2015 Hyundai Sonata (see the Buyer's Guide tab for engine-level applications), measures 15.16 inches, and needs no special tools to fit.

Dynamic damping speed control: a longitudinal velocity-manifold groove pressed into the tube wall lets gas flow around the piston, delivering a fluid opening motion tuned for this application.
