Raise the hood with a smooth, controlled motion using the Stabilus Hood Lift Support 4B-915409, a gas-charged strut measuring 21.71 inches that installs as a direct-fit replacement on the 2010-2019 Lincoln MKT (see the Buyer's Guide tab for engine applications). Built on the Lift-O-Mat design with dynamic damping, it uses a longitudinal velocity-manifold groove pressed into the tube wall so gas flows around the piston at an extension speed tuned for this application, gradually narrowing toward the end of the stroke for a gentle, controlled stop.
