Description

Open the hood with a smooth, controlled motion using the Stabilus Hood Lift Support 5B-0772VE, a gas-charged lift support with dynamic speed control that measures 11.18 inches. It drops in as a direct-fit replacement for the 2004-2010 BMW X3 (see the Buyer's Guide tab for engine-level fitment), holding the hood up and helping counterbalance its weight when a worn strut can no longer hold it open.

Dynamic damping speed control: Stabilus' Lift-O-Mat uses a longitudinal velocity-manifold groove pressed into the tube wall, letting gas flow around the piston for a fluid opening motion with no bouncing or jerking during cycling.
Gentle stop: The groove profile gradually narrows toward the end of the stroke for a controlled stop with minimal impact.
