Hold your hood up smoothly and steadily with the Stabilus Hood Lift Support 5B-397953, a gas-charged lift support with dynamic speed control that drops in as a direct-fit replacement for the 2015-2025 Porsche Macan (see the Buyer's Guide tab for engine-level details). This 11.81-inch Lift-O-Mat unit uses a longitudinal groove — a velocity manifold pressed into the tube wall — that lets gas flow around the piston with extension speed and damping tuned for this application, so the hood rises with a fluid, controlled motion and settles to a gentle stop as the groove narrows toward the end of the stroke.
