Raise the hood with a smooth, controlled motion and hold it up hands-free with the Stabilus Hood Lift Support 5B-679035, a 15.12-inch gas-charged lift support with dynamic speed control. It installs as a direct-fit replacement for the 2013-2021 Hyundai Santa Fe, 2013-2021 Hyundai Santa Fe (Santa Fe / Santa Fe Sport listing), 2013-2018 Hyundai Santa Fe Sport, and 2013-2019 Hyundai Santa Fe XL — see the Buyer's Guide tab for the full engine-level fitment.
- Dynamic damping speed control: a velocity manifold groove pressed into the tube wall lets gas flow around the piston for a fluid opening motion with no bouncing or jerking during cycling.
- Gentle, controlled stop: the groove profile narrows toward the end of the stroke to ease the hood to a soft stop with minimal impact.
- Corrosion-tested coatings: part coatings are tested to automotive standards for corrosion resistance.
- Based on the OE design to help ensure proper fit, form, and function; easy to install with no special tools required.
This is a Lift-O-Mat by Stabilus unit, engineered for the specific application. For best results, replace lift supports in pairs so both sides hold and move evenly.
