Stabilus Hood Lift Support P/N:5B-017120
Raise your hood with a smooth, controlled motion using the Stabilus Hood Lift Support 5B-932617, a 14.92-inch gas-charged lift support with dynamic damping speed control. It installs as a direct-fit replacement for the 2015-2024 Nissan Murano — see the Buyer's Guide tab for full engine details.
This is Stabilus' Lift-O-Mat design, which uses a longitudinal groove (a velocity manifold) pressed into the tube wall so gas flows around the piston with the extension speed and damping tuned for this application. The groove narrows toward the end of the stroke for a gentle, controlled stop.
Signs a lift support may need replacing include a hood that drifts down, feels weak, or won't stay up on its own.

This part cross-references / interchanges with the following part numbers:
What vehicle does this hood lift support fit?
It is a direct-fit replacement for the 2015-2024 Nissan Murano. Check the Buyer's Guide tab to confirm the exact fit for your vehicle.
What is dynamic damping speed control?
A groove (velocity manifold) in the tube wall controls gas flow around the piston, so the hood opens with a fluid motion and stops gently with no bouncing or jerking.
Should I replace both hood lift supports at once?
For best results, Stabilus recommends replacing them in pairs so both sides hold and cycle evenly.
How long is this lift support?
This lift support measures 14.92 inches. Compare it against your original to confirm the correct length before ordering.
Do I need special tools to install it?
No. It is designed to be easy to install and requires no special tools.
