Keep the tailgate rising smoothly and holding open with the Stabilus Liftgate Lift Support 4B-303809, a temperature-compensating, gas-charged strut. It installs as a direct-fit replacement for the 2003-2017 Ford Expedition (see the Buyer's Guide tab for engine-level applications), measuring 22.28 inches. Stabilus builds it on the LIFT-O-MAT design with a Temperature Compensating Valve (TCV) to deliver OE-equivalent operation on vehicles engineered with temperature-compensation systems.
