Description

Keep your trunk lid rising smoothly and holding open with the Stabilus Trunk Lid Lift Support 5B-155830. This gas-charged lift support measures 11.71 inches and drops in as a direct-fit replacement for the 2009-2010 Chrysler 300. It uses Stabilus Lift-O-Mat dynamic damping — a longitudinal groove (velocity manifold) pressed into the tube wall that lets gas flow around the piston, tuning extension speed and damping for this application so the lid opens with a fluid, controlled motion. The groove profile narrows toward the end of the stroke for a gentle, controlled stop. When the original support weakens and the trunk lid drifts down or opens slowly, this may be the part to replace.
