This 13.66-inch gas-charged lift support drops in as a direct-fit replacement for the 2001-2003 BMW 525I, 1997-2000 and 1979-1981 BMW 528I, 2001-2006 BMW 530I, 1997-2003 BMW 540I, and 2000-2003 BMW M5. It uses dynamic damping speed control and an internal compression spring to help lift the trunk lid off the latch when released.
