Standard Ignition Air Bag Clockspring P/N:CSP327
Standard Ignition CSP277 air bag clockspring for the 2002 Ford Thunderbird and other vehicles keeps the steering wheel's wiring connected while the wheel turns.
A worn clockspring can show up as an airbag warning light, a horn that stops sounding or steering wheel controls that quit. Before you replace it, have a shop scan and test the airbag system to rule out a blown fuse, a loose connector or a fault in another airbag part, since those can also light the warning.
Made to OE spec for fit, form and function, this clockspring fits the 2002 Ford Thunderbird and the 2000-2002 Lincoln LS, and each steering wheel takes one. This listing is a single clockspring.

Do I need to buy fasteners separately for this clockspring?
Yes. This listing is one clockspring with no hardware, and the old fasteners may not be reusable, so plan on new ones.

It is a 12 V part with seven rectangular connectors, female and male, 40 male blade-and-pin terminals and 26 wires.
Can a worn clockspring make the horn stop working?
It can, since a worn clockspring can interrupt the horn circuit along with the airbag light and wheel controls, and a shop can test the airbag system.
Are the conductors in the Standard Ignition CSP277 copper?
Yes. The CSP277 uses copper alloy conductors, made for electrical conductivity with low resistive losses.
