Light up the back-up lamps as soon as you shift into reverse with the Standard Ignition switch LS-216, a back-up light switch for the 1988-1989 Oldsmobile Cutlass Supreme and the 1988-1990 Pontiac Grand Prix. A back-up light switch closes the reverse-lamp circuit when the vehicle is placed in reverse. This turns on the rear back-up lamps so they light the area behind the vehicle and signal others that you are backing up. If the original switch has failed, the LS-216 replaces it.

Signs this part may need replacing: back-up lights that won't come on in reverse, work only intermittently, or stay on after you shift out of reverse. Check the bulbs, fuses and wiring first, because they can cause the same symptoms.
