Standard Ignition Brake Light Switch P/N:SLS-388
Help your brake lights respond every time the pedal goes down with the Standard Ignition switch SLS-131, a stoplight (brake light) switch that completes the brake light circuit when the brake pedal is applied. It fits many vehicles as a direct-fit replacement, among them the 1987-1992 Chevrolet Camaro and 1989-1992 Chevrolet Corvette. It also fits many other Buick, Cadillac, Chevrolet, GMC, Oldsmobile and Pontiac models; see the Buyer's Guide tab for the full list.
Specifications: The switch is plastic with a black and white finish, rated for 12 volts, and uses a push-in attachment. It connects through two rectangular connectors with five male blade terminals. The wiring harness, hardware and mounting brackets are not included. One switch is used per application. Country of origin: Taiwan.
Signs a stoplight switch may need replacing include brake lights that stay on, fail to light when the pedal is pressed, or work only intermittently. Bulbs, fuses and wiring can cause the same symptoms, so diagnose the circuit before replacing the switch.
