Distributor Cap and Rotor Kit for 1997 Chevrolet Camaro & More - Standard Ignition DR-473

The kit contains a distributor cap and a rotor. As the rotor turns inside the cap, it routes the ignition coil's high-voltage output to each spark plug terminal in firing order.

• Reinforced cap material: The cap is made from high dielectric-strength, glass/mineral-reinforced polyester resin. It is designed for less carbon tracking and greater resistance to electrical breakdown.
• Solid brass terminals: The terminals are intended to make better connections and to resist electrical pitting and corrosion.

Signs this part may need replacing: engine misfire, rough running, hard starting, a cracked cap, visible carbon tracks, or worn or corroded terminals. Diagnose the ignition system first. If the cap and rotor are the cause, this kit replaces both.
