Standard Ignition Ignition Switch P/N:US-136
Replace a worn or failing ignition switch on your classic Ford with the Standard Ignition Ignition Starter Switch, part number US-85. It switches the ignition and starter circuits as the key is turned. It is a direct-fit replacement for many listed Ford applications, among them the 1970-1976 Ford F-250, 1970-1976 Ford F-100 and 1970-1976 Ford F-350. See the Buyer's Guide tab for the full list and engine details.
The ignition starter switch is the electrical side of the ignition system. As the key moves through its positions, the switch routes battery power to the ignition and accessory circuits and energizes the starter circuit to crank the engine.
Signs an ignition switch may need replacing include no crank when the key is turned to start, intermittent loss of power to the ignition or accessories, and the engine shutting off while driving. Other components can cause these symptoms, so diagnose the circuit first. If the switch is the cause, the US-85 replaces it.
